Come see nature in its wild, discover the Masai Mara National Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park. The Masai Mara offers an opportunity to see and experience a range of wildlife elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, gazelles, antelopes, giraffes, gnus, hyenas, crocodiles and many more. Lake Nakuru’s right pink flamingoes abound here, sometimes in the millions, while endangered rhinos wallow amongst the birds, presenting a pictorial paradise. As if to compete for the best spectacle, the land shows itself off with immense rocky escarpments, dense acacia forests, wooded hills and unexpected waterfalls. You’ll find other birdlife here with an abundance of pelicans, cormorants, kingfisher, ostrich, stork as well as herons and eagles. You shall be in the hands of our highly trained guides, who have extensive knowledge of the parks to guide you through the expedition.
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara
The safari is to start in Nairobi; however, for other pickup points around Kenya, prior communication should be made. Early in the morning, our tour guide shall come to the assigned pick up location in Nairobi and drive you to the Mara Game Reserve with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley view point. Arrive in time for lunch and proceed for a game drive in search of the black manned lion, elusive leopard, cheetah, buffalo and other plains game. Dinner and overnight at the Mara Sopa/Mara Serena lodge.
Day 2: Full day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve
This morning, delve into the African Savannah plains of the Masai Mara. From searching for the elusive leopard to the search for the small five, except the elephant shrew. Mara is home to the big five and other herbivores. During the stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Dinner and overnight at Mar Sopa/ Mara Serena/ Luxurious tented camp
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, pack your entire luggage and proceed for your last game drive as you exit Mara for L. Nakuru, the world’s famous ornithological spectacle arriving in time for lunch. This is referred to as the pink lake because of its large masses of bird concentration. The bird life is renown with over 400 birds species present (egrets, marabou stork, plovers, white pelicans) .There is also wildlife here like the white rhino, leopards and elephants. Dinner and overnight at flamingo hill tented camp
Day 4: Lake Nakuru- Nairobi
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast. After breakfast, we depart for Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. After lunch, you will be dropped at the airport/hotel
